Aisling Bea

Aisling is a popular Irish comedian that has been in the business for a long time. Born in Kildare, Ireland on the 16th of March 1984. She appeared with Stephen Fry on QI. Aisling O'Sullivan, also than the stage name Aisling Bea (born March 16, 1984), is an Irish actress, writer and stand-up comedian. Bea was first seen as bit roles on Irish or British television programs in 2009, started her career as an stand-up comic in 2011. By 2012 she was regularly performing on sketch comedy shows and sitcoms. In 2012, following her won an award at Edinburgh Comedy Awards (ECA) and began to be featured regularly in various panel programs. Between 2016 and 2017 she was a part of 8 Out of 10 Cats Team, and also a part-time participant in the 8 Out of 10 Cats Does Countdown spinoff. Her parents were Brian O'Sullivan and Helen O'Sullivan. She has an older sister named Sinead. She was the winner of the So You think You're Funny Award for the second time. Bea is her surname to honor her late father. Aisling O'Sullivan, whose real name is as Cliodhnadh Aisling was born in Kildare town, which is located in County Kildare. Bea's father Brian is an equine veterinarian who committed suicide when she was just three. Bea didn't learn how her father passed away until she was thirteen. She chose the stage name Bea to honor her late father. Bea also published a 2017 article in The Guardian on her family's suicide story. Bea along with her younger sister Sinead were taken care of by their maternal grandmother Helen (nee Moloney) an elementary school teacher and jockey trainer, as well as a former professional jockey. Their family was passionate about horses and races. Bea was a trainer for her family's involvement at the Irish National Stud in her young days. She knew, however it wasn't something she wanted to be in a career and she preferred to perform.
