He has also portrayed a few romantic characters and was in a variety of action-packed films in his career. His passion for the performing arts began when he was in his teen years. He attempted stand-up comedy when he was in his early 20s. It was not a successful stand-up career, however it was a step for a career in acting. In order to be successful as a comedian and performer, he was hired in the role of a cameraman with an local cable television station. It was at this station is where he realized he truly wanted to appear before cameras. Then he was able to get a television role and appeared in several shows of Mister Rogers Neighborhood. His natural talent as an actor earned him a lot of attention on TV. After establishing a successful movie career, his comedic appearances brought him plenty of fame. Further acclaim was earned as he played Batman's own character as Tim Burton's Batman. With time he matured as an actor, and started to pursue direction and production. In 2014, his performance as Birdman earned him numerous accolades and nods.
